Science Challenge

On the day the Mad Scientists came to town we were very excited.  We enjoyed dressing up and joined in all the different experiments.  It was amazing how the experiments turned out.  We made lemonade – which was a bit sour at first.  Then we lit up a light bulb using a salt solution as a conductor.   We recorded all our results and chatted about it after with our class mates comparing our findings. It was great fun.

Easter / Mothers Day

We really enjoy celebrating different festivals and special days.  This year we made a fantastic Easter display and we had fun putting it together as a team. We also made lovely gift bags and some scrumptious chocolate cakes for Mothers Day. SANY9367 SANY9368 SANY9369 SANY9373 SANY9377 SANY9386 SANY9394 SANY9430

Thinking day 22nd February

Last Friday at school we wore our uniforms from the Scout and Guide movement because on the 22nd of February we were celebrating Lord Robert Baden-Powell and Lady Olave Baden-Powells birthdays.  We really enjoy going to our organisations as we do some fantastic things.  At the Boys Brigade we play team games, bake, marching and do activities with equipment.  In the Girl Guides we play lots of games, make posters and do craft projects.  Outdoors we make campfires and we sing and go camping.  In the Scouts we make massive fires outdoors and it’s great fun.  We go camping at Aviemore, Templars Park and we also met Bear Grylls last year. We work on our challenge badges and do great things outdoors.

The Top Secret Delivery

Last week we received a very interesting parcel through the post!!  We were so excited we wanted to open it straight away.  Inside the box we found a turnip, a dog’s collar and lead, a cat and food, a mouse, an old man’s hat, a ladies scarf and apron and a girl’s headband and bow.  “What a mystery!”

We put on our thinking caps and we decided it was all the items for the story called “The Enormous Turnip”.

Christmas Crafts 2012

During December we had great fun making all our festive treats.  We made calendars, sparkly cards, painted and decorated tea light candle holders, coloured in a santa decoration for the tree and baked krispie christmas puddings which were very yummy.  Then we decorated our bags to carry all our goodies home.
